Florence, Italy
In February 2015 Architects Filippo Pecorai, Francesco onorati, Francesco Polci and Antonio Salvi, started a process named OPPS archituecture, with the aim of alternating the professional practice to the theoretical reflection on the fundamentals of the discipline. The young Tuscan group is responsible in designing the space where we live acting among the veins of the city, between emergencies and opportunities, to enhance hidden locations and to make them lived by people.

The shape around us is nature and artifice. The running time is daily and immortal. The architecture we love is form and time.
File under

The project as ethical and aesthetic thinking.

The architecture of the future is not the glittering architecture. It would be easy to summarize our thinking as a cocktail of place, memory and tradition. This is sterile unless we introduce our contemporary. Analyze the costumes that man can not ignore, understand those that it should lose and have tomorrow. Finally, an intimate search of beauty, the beauty of form and the intelligence of the project, which is basically what survives over time

The small Museum of the Madonna del Parto has been designed to accomodate the fresco , just outside the small and ancient community of Monterchi. he exhibition center forms a public square with a café on the entrance floor, while at a lower level you there are some media spaces and only one exhibition hall.

The exhibition was born from the desire to bring academic work into the life of every day, qualifying the debate about the accommodation of the fresco.
