Under this name lies an intense activity of research, design and co-creation of the image of architecture and the city to come. My background includes the graduation of the Bachelor and Masters program in architecture at the technical university in Graz. This has only been possible by moving on from the initial student life at a university in Eastern Europe. The professional know-how you see in form of these projects is also the results of various experiences in the domain.

Plug-industrial

visionary urban strategies on: escaping non-territoriality
On the context of increasing interest for landscape urbanism the subject of this work is devoted to the creation of a visionary approach based on elaborating concepts meant to announce restructuration and reintegration of urban spaces found in the condition of non-territoriality (terrain vague) .

Our world opens more and more to adaptability and interchange, be it on a social level, in architecture or in terms of lifestyle. Plug-industrial offers the potential of transforming the city by envisioning change with the focus on this problematic. As life quality decreases in the city life and collaboration between the inner city and the outskirts of its realms hardly is possible from an architectural and urban point of view, an infrastructure of escape seeks to create opportunities and possibilities of joy for each user of the city.

With the help of landscape culture as valuable design instrument, Plug-industrial can contribute to a shift in the attitude of accepting and imagining the city.

An attitude of accepting neglectfulness and play along with it in our job as professionals would contribute to the ideal of increasing life quality into the cities. Tabula plena as way to go will produce growth, contrasting tabula rasa as radical gesture of responding needs of a city.

[right] Disrupted striated space unified by smooth space (processual). Smooth space is defined by flight line (red).

The ‘industrialscape’ is wide spread on the periphery of the central city but is in itself devoid of centrality. Joining the “scattered” analogically refers to the principle of the attraction field.

illustration with the general plan of Oradea and its surroundings. ‘Ill tissue’ vs. ‘healthy tissue’ . The regular or the standard tissue is monotone. It adds rhythm to the city. Disruption breaks monotony into chaos.

red = structural tissue
gray = disrupted tissue (industrial)

magnified view in the general plan. The tissue is replaced by the interpreted grid display (striated configurations displayed in chaos)

connective smooth space design beginning inside each industrial core and continuing at their exterior. Smooth space can ideally unify residual space in the broader urban scheme.
