“We are a small team behind this initiative.” We explore various approaches to making housing free-of-cost for the dweller. These approaches include barter skill & trade, charity, corporate social responsibility, crowdfunding, philanthropy, furniture sales, et cetera. Sales contribute monetary support to our initiative. We build homes for communities every time our sales reach the target.

The business model is to use the revenue from hosting on Airbnb to fund housing.
File under

Our project is ongoing. We observe people work long hours at a job they do not like, to pay their rent, or to save money for a house of their choosing. Hence, we provide housing for free. With a house for free, people will not work for the money, but make better choices and pursue their dreams. There is value here.

Stage 1. — www.airbnb.com/
We host guests on Airbnb, a peer-to-peer online marketplace and homestay network enabling people to list or rent short-term lodging in residential properties, with the cost of such accommodation set by the property owner. In the process, Airbnb’s model usually earns surplus income for hosts.

Stage 2. — www.wikihouse.cc/
WikiHouse is an open source project to reinvent the way we make homes. Everyone collaborating to develop the best, simplest, most sustainable, high-performance building technologies, which anyone can use and improve. The low cost of building a WikiHouse lowers our costs incurred per house built.

That’s all, folks!
