Millennial City

A new City Model towards Future

Millennial City

A new City Model towards Future
A new city model in the millennial era to against the contemporary city model.
File under

From Medieval walled city to contemporary grid city, CITY as a new species in anthropocene has evolved to the stage that surpass humanity. The efficiency and prosperity have become our main goal instead of the individual aspirations as human being. At the moment that the city depressed the individual by collective goal, CITY was not under humanity’s control anymore. In contrary, CITY controls human.
The aim of the project is bringing back the humanity as leading force of city development by the MILLENNIAL CITY model. What should be emphasized is that the foundation of this city model is PROGRAMMATIC MUTABILITY. And as the representation of this model, the drawing on the canvas would depict the PROGRAMMATIC MUTABILITY by layering up. Meanwhile the way of representation is also a critic to the setting of city model behind the contemporary architectural drawing.
