Beyond the Established

Beyond the Established

_
Rather than new buildings we need to redefine and expand the meanings of the existing ones
File under

The future is marked by a consolidated reality: our world has been already built and the constructions are mostly inaccessible (not only physically) or shut down.

Rather than new buildings we need to redefine and expand the meanings of the existing ones.

By questioning a dense mesh of, often obsolete, rules and self-imposed programs which make the built environment immutable and underused, we aim to trigger new possible scenarios.

We intend to explore the potentials beyond the specific and established functions activating open, participatory processes which interact with existing practices for the development and the construction of shared territories.

A living architecture may create contradictory dialogues with the inhabitants becoming thus a platform for exchanges.
