Design of Mixed Uses Mega-buildings

The Super Brains
It's an inovative concept with roots in former types of communal living now adapted to the demands of the contemporary metropolis, funded on the premisse that the future of the big metropolis is maxime architectural density.

Type of project
  • Systemic changes

It is envisioned a building that will stimulate interactions between its inhabitants by creating an interface of communications ordered in layers where you can browse for potential interactions all around in 360º. A place of dwellings (home) and offices (work) overlaping inside clusters of mega towers connected with sky bridges, within very compact big metropolis where everything relates with everything else. I believe that the societal function of architecture can be enhanced if building models are created and incrementally improved in all their components, from ornament to engineering, from programme to post occupancy evaluation - an intermediate high performance main stream between the repetitive orthogonaly and artistic willness. A mixed uses mega building to tackle high density situations and be delivered worldwide, based on high-performance buildings and architectural research.

Designing a contemporary building should consider the social and technical progresses of the last 30 years and speculate on future realities.

These progresses will make future buildings very different from the ones of today - 24/7 high density variegated spaces where we can move and interact when working.

Most of the urban problems we’re facing are caused by the incompability between contemporary activities and the buildings we inhabit, because they were designed for a very different society.
