Building Better Cities Together

Milieu

Building Better Cities Together
Democratizing city planning to reimagine the role of citizens in the construction of cities globally.
File under

The future of architecture depends on people but the problem is the disconnection between citizens, urban developers and city officials. What is required is a reimagining of the role of citizens in the urban planning and development process and how cities deploy tools that inform and engage people.

Milieu is a platform for people to stay informed, participate in the public consultation process and communicate with members of their community and city officials, their views on urban planning and development projects in their neighbourhood. It provides real-time public access on urban planning and development information (public hearings and project updates), enables people to discuss with members of the community and the city, and produces analytical reports to inform urban planning and development decision making processes.
