In 2020, the Oslo Architecture Triennale (OAT) will mark its 20th anniversary. This gives us an opportunity to look back and revisit how OAT has developed since the first edition in 2000. At the same time, this opens the possibility of a critical reflection on how we want to move forward, what is the relevance of an architecture triennale and how can institutions for architecture dissemination engage in the complexity of aspects that characterize the present state of society? How can OAT and other similar organizations create agency and contribute towards communicating architecture and its relevance to an audience also beyond the field itself? As part of OAT 2020 autumn programme, we extend the invitation to five Future Architecture emerging voices to come to Oslo and engage in this discussion with the Triennale and its partners. The programme will take place from August to November 2020, with a pre-production/preparation phase from April to June 2020.
