The Urban Loop in Auby brings together in a framework harnessing effort around the idea of Age-integration and Health. With new streetscapes, an inter-generational habitat partly self-managed facilitates access to learning, voluntary work, crafts, support research in synergy with regional actors and the youth. A forward-looking public/private institute sharing functions and creating mutual value.
Specific impact
Loop: A simple re-organization of the street network have been allowing to reduce the car traffic to benefit soft transportation; and give the village a fresh look at its existing facilities and local offers.
Programs: Allocating specific programs to existing structures, public spaces and a limited amount of new constructions will allow maximum people to get involved in the city life and contribute to the mix of generations.
