Matthieu Boustany, Benoist Desfonds, Elida Mosquera, Jerome Picard met through their shared experience in prestigious international offices around the world. They come together to create LOCAL in 2019, as a reminder that we all are at once nomadic and sedentary, migrants and locals. Peeraya Suphasidh’s Studio is an architecture and creative practice established in 2017 with the focus on sensitivity and specificity of built environments. The studio is currently based out of Cambridge, MA.

Global impact
If not the city but our life in the city were to be more ‘productive’ had more to do with the idea of being ‘meaningful’? The Urban Loop in Auby brings together in a framework harnessing effort around the idea of Age-integration and Health. With new streetscapes, an inter-generational habitat partly self-managed facilitates access to learning, voluntary work, crafts, support research in synergy with regional actors and the youth. A forward-looking public/private institute sharing functions and creating mutual value.
Specific impact
Loop: A simple re-organization of the street network have been allowing to reduce the car traffic to benefit soft transportation; and give the village a fresh look at its existing facilities and local offers.
Programs: Allocating specific programs to existing structures, public spaces and a limited amount of new constructions will allow maximum people to get involved in the city life and contribute to the mix of generations.
