Hope Homes
Hope Homes
- Systemic changes
The Hope Homes Project is about building zero-cost shelters by stacking plastic bottles and weaving them with strips of plastic bags or old fabrics. The whole process of making one structure is an opportunity to bring people together and interact with homeless people. By collecting one bottle at a time, storing it and meeting with groups of people to build a shelter, creates a small community of people who want to be part of this huge movement; a movement that inspires people to take action and make this world a better place!
This simple idea, visions a more humane development in the field of architecture. A development that focuses on the needs of humanity and designs cities that target to solve social issues and help the vulnerable population. The vision is not only introducing humane architecture, but also encourages architects to discover and use techniques and materials that help save the environment from all the pollution, waste and damage we have caused and are still causing.
