Stefano Corbo is an architect, Professor at the Rhode Island School of Design, where he also serves as Graduate Program Director. Stefano holds a Ph.D and an M.Arch. II in Advanced Architectural Design from ETSAM Madrid. He has contributed to several journals and has published three books: From Formalism to Weak Form. The Architecture and Philosophy of Peter Eisenman (Ashgate- Routledge, 2014), Interior Landscapes. A visual atlas (Images, 2016), and Notes from the Underworld (Schiffer, 2019)

While forms of artificial intelligence and virtual reality open up multiple directions for designers, this project is a reflection on the role played by Drawing as anti-representational tool.

Can architecture be detached by the illusion of an infinite technological development that often translates into sterile and empty personal speculations?


Can be geometry employed as a critical tool to resist the current modes of production, in a modality other than abstraction?

While forms of artificial intelligence and virtual reality open up multiple directions for designers, this project is a reflection on the role played by Drawing as anti-representational tool.
What follows is a graphic Manifesto for an architecture which is informed by a new intellectual and operative medium: META-COLLAGE.
