The installation by Museum of Estonian Architecture will be constructed under the guidance of the Portuguese architect Francisco Adão da Fonseca from the Porto based studio Skrei and the Estonian architect Mari Hunt along with students of Estonian Academy of Arts.
The installation presents Mati's Laboratory. Mati's mysterious experiments on herbal medicine, plant microscope, and high technology will create a functioning communication channel between the plant network and the technology internet.
The insatllaion is actually a scenography for the play on augmented reality, which is currently in the works at the Von Krahl theatre in Tallinn, Estonia. The play will premier in March 2019.
The workshop takes place between 22 to 26 October and is also a part of the art and education project JAIK.
