Towards A New...Something

Le chat a sauté dans le jardin
An Architect with a Macbook Pro on his back dreaming of spaces he would never afford to live in.

Towards A New...Something contemplates on the role of Architects, Designers and artists in a Crisis and Post-Crisis global social and economic environment. With jobs being harder and harder to find in an extremely competitive field and with the constant supply of new technologies that require hundreds of unpaid hours to master, how can young architects organize themselves under a new model of architectural ethics? How can we reinvent the way architecture influences society (if it ever did)? What of the thousands and thousands of young Architects working alone or in small groups from home on their laptops taking part in competitions with the hope that their work might be somehow rewarded.
Before we propose solutions it is paramount to strive to understand the reasons behind the problems that we face.
