OPEN CALL: Future Architect
Strelka Institute has in collaboration with Future Architecture platform launched an open call for young and emerging architects from Russia. Deadline for applications is 27 August.
The call is open exclusively to young Russian architects and firms who want to present their ideas to a general audience, enter the global market, and find clients, as well as senior and junior students of Russian architecture schools who want to shift from studies to practical work. The participants will get the chance to enter the spotlight on the Russian and international stage, learn to work in the framework of architecture contests, and develop self presentation and unconventional thinking skills.
International jury including leader of the platform Matevž Čelik and Ana Dana Beroš of member DAI – SAI will select 15–20 applications. The list of winners will be announced on 3 September.
Their authors will present themselves and their ideas in the PechaKucha format on September 12 in Moscow at the Future Architect conference by Strelka Institute.
Based on their presentations, the jury will then name 5 finalists who will be invited to the Creative Exchange taking place in February 2019 in Ljubljana to present their projects, make new connections, and find partners and clients.
