Following the call for ideas that generated a full 291 ideas by 524 authors from 39 countries all over the world, candidates selected by the platform members and 1 candidate receiving the most public votes will appear at the Matchmaking Conference. The event will take place 18 – 20 February 2016 at platform’s coordinating entity, the Museum of Architecture and Design (MAO), in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

They will meet in person with the 14 platform members: Oris House of Architecture, Zagreb (HR) , Museum of Architecture in Wrocław (PL), Belgrade International Architecture Week (RS), National Museum of XXI Century Arts, Rome (IT), House of Architecture, Graz (AT), Copenhagen Architecture Festival (DK), Tirana Architecture Week (AL), Design Biotop, Ljubljana (SI), Lisbon Architecture Triennale (PT), Ruby Press, Berlin (DE), Swiss Architecture Museum, Basel (CH), Prishtina Architecture Week (RKS), CANactions, Kiev (UA) and Museum of Architecture and Design (MAO), Ljubljana (SI). 

Participants will personally present and pitch their ideas and visions to both the platform members and the general public. Based on their presentation of ideas, interests and views on architecture the candidates will be matched with members of the platform and become a part of the Future Architecture platform program of exhibitions, conferences, lectures and workshops taking place all around Europe.

The first two days of the conference will be open to public and will also see lectures from MAO director and platform manager Matevž Čelik as well as other notable figures in the field of architecture and urban planning. The third day of the event will see the candidates and platform members officially kick off their collaboration.
