Born in Barcelona, I have spent my life writing, and often writing about images. I hold a Phd in Communication (Media Studies), and postgraduate studies on Visual Arts Criticism. I straddle as a translator and university professor, and I have presented my research on digital, sometimes interactive storytelling in Barcelona, Madrid; Mérida, México; Buenos Aires; Medellín and Ibagué in Colombia.

Personas: 6 characters in search of space

FINAL_FINAL Open Call for Writers
I would to create 6 personas related to 6 projects presented to the upcoming Future Architecture call for ideas
File under
Type of project
  • Systemic changes

Personas is a UX design method where convincing characters are created to adapt them to pre-conceived but also evolving settings, so that spaces are contrasted with their foreseeable inhabitants.

Considering that and the need of contemporary architecture to adapt to VUCA [volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous] environments including its actual users, I would like to provide 6 personas, 6 portrayals of characters (personas diagram + written story) attached to the following Ideas projects, either fitting or opposing them:

1) Project: Eurotopia Persona: A kid born right after the end of WWII, living when the European Economic Community was founded (1957) 2) Project: Queer Nature Persona: An heteropatriarchal figure, most likely male 3) Project: Logium Persona: A photographer 4) Project: Glass Roof Earth Homes Persona: A southern climate refugee 5) Project: Shadow of Stars Persona: A travel writer 6) Project: Infra-catharsis Persona: An old man with limited mobility
