INTERACTIVE ARCHIVE COSA MENTALE

An elastic research tool.
“Nothing is Transmissible but Thought”. This phrase ascribed to Le Corbusier has animated the work of Cosa Mentale since its foundation. Discussing and transmitting theoretical thought about architecture is, in fact, the fil rouge that links all its paper publications to the present day.

Type of project
  • New alliances

The material that compose our publications is progressively increasing, as is our intention to preserve it in the most appropriate way and to make it available to a wide audience. Cosa Mentale has begun to question the concept of the digital archive, convinced that, in the era of the big-data, the process of archiving and collecting content deserves very appropriate reflections and actions. Our project is to create a digital archive that aims to make the content of our publications accessible through its digitalization with the creation of an interactive platform. The first materials to be digitized, and therefore to become part of the platform, will be those belonging to magazines and publications already out of stock.
