Unmeasurement
Unmeasurement
- New alliances
Architecture as a live, transdisciplinary artistic practice involving the audience.
UNMEASUREMENT are site specific performances, featuring a collaboration between 3 artists performers combining their artistical, manual and technical skills while constantly switching the scale of observation.
Following a scientific SCRIPT of experiments, they act out a SCORE that transforms the real space into a fictionnal, letting the audience be part of the experience from the inside, free to use their own logic, generate hyphothesis or imagine conclusions.
To quantify and calibrate spaces and bodies, inter relations, comparisons and dependencies are generated. In this process we confront to the properties of materials, the basic forces of physics, our willingness to take risks, the normativity of our bodies.
With the series Scripts & Scores we are researchers with a sculptural and poetic approach taking decision about what we (decide to) measure and how we do it.
