Reversing the future
Reversing the future
- Systemic changes
“Reversing Future” is a script for personified ideas participating to the call for the development of architecture in the future. The projects chosen are those fitting better with my idea of architecture: the science of extending precarious living conditions. The projects are characters with their own contradictions, desires, and expectations. They find themselves seated at the same table. Which ideas will survive? The writer, also at the table, embodies my favorite project, the one of Maisa Imamović “Walky-Worky”, proposing “the design of discomfort”. What a writer should represent, the one who highlights discomfort. The following are the projects chosen: “Treading Softly”, “A shared interest in the bounce”, “Eurasian Gondolas”, “Migratable Cities”, “Performing a language for the messy reality of the everyday world”, “Eurotopie”. Each of them represents also a specific theme - respectively resistance, economy, globalization, freedom, language and politics.
