Monkey Factor

Reconciliation with the Nature

Monkey Factor

Reconciliation with the Nature
Monkey factor is a design attitude that comes from the desire to make humanity part of a larger ecological system. Architecture is the instrument to realize it.
File under

Monkey factor is a model for the future of our cities. It’s a new thinking process about the relationship between human and nature. It is becoming a necessity to have a new “thought on the world” in order to change the natural conditions of our contemporary society. The idea is to introduce new elements that should be taken into consideration in Architecture: animals, rainwater, air, trees. These last become fundamental design elements that should be analyzed with a particular attention; their features and peculiarity, quality and dimensions should be observed and developed as we nowadays do a wall, a pillar, a window…

All of these factors can be recognized under one term: the Monkey factor. The Monkey represents a clear image in our minds. It brings us back to the origins of humanity, to our animal origins and reconciles us with the natural sphere.
