In architecture, there is a need to achieve a dialogue with young people in practice. They have grown up in a time of great strides of technology that assumes the sustainable relationship with the environment and with positive impact on society.
URED studio as an young architectural practice collaborates with experienced colleagues, but also provides support for beginners who need practice in the field. Collaboration with other companies in the industry is established and strengthened by a continuous exchange of experiences and development of specific solutions that could be implemented jointly in the local architectural context and society. According to the principles of co-design, in close cooperation with the contractors it is possible to offer clients a solution for the complete process of implementing the ideas with optimization of the processes in real time. The result of this process is a socially responsible practice that meets the needs of all participants in the process.
Impact Hub Belgrade is a community of innovative entrepreneurs emerged in the reconstructed space of the former headquarters of the Association of State Employees Purchasing Cooperatives (1929). Continuity in terms of purpose as one of the principles of protecting the heritage can be considered as a new „global cooperative“ that encourages entrepreneurship development of wider significance, and therefore the revitalization of this space has broader value.
The challenge of the project was to come up with very limited resources and to achieve a quality architecture that comfortably handles the basic architectural elements, such as columns, walls, slabs, and openings, in order to create an airy interior with purified structure appropriate to the showroom and, relatively strict, business-like exterior of the building with rhythmic facade openings.
The apartment building named C6 has 14 units. It represents classical modernist treatment of the corner of the closed urban housing block. The result is quality interior organisation with good proportions of the rooms and added benefit of open ground floor that has common rooms, small garden, and community parking space.
