Nature as infra-structure
Nature as infra-structure

Humans cannot survive without nature. The ecosystems that allow and support live in cities need to be connected.
Nowadays cities act disconnecting nature; acting like that the benefits from nature don't exist in the urban areas (clean air, heat reduction, health, well-being,...).
Green infrastructures serve the interest of both people & nature. Many are already planned (like the urban green corridors); develope them can bring biodiversity back to cities.
We need a different approach for the architecture in the urban green corridors, where it is needed to be a green infrastructure as well. It can be done building an architecture made with natural materials (straw bales, raw earth, bamboo,...); green roofs & vertical gardens.
The aim is to have a livable environment in cities combining the economical needs of facilities in cities with the needs of the communities who live there.

Reconsider the habitat in cities, being more inclusive with wildlife.

Choose natural renewable materials for building

and ecological architecture in the green corridors that is a green infrastructure as well,

which can be easily composted,

and has a low environmental impact.
