Site – Collective Architecture Repository

https://site.archi

Flüelastrasse 6, 8048 Zürich, Switzerland
Site was started in July 2016 by designer Severin Zaugg and developer Raphael Saunier. Currently in Beta we’ll first release a minimal version with a subsequent rollout of new features. We actively seek the exchange with architects, students, researchers and critics to promptly validate our assumptions, find participants and respond to their suggestions.

Collective Architecture Repository
A digital attempt to document significant architecture collectively
File under

Through a web and mobile application participants can document remarkable buildings with photography and information on their location, architect, form, materials, use, construction, contractors and timeline.

Over time new features will be tested and introduced, aiming for an evermore accurate, granular and sprawling architecture database. Once in place such connected information could allow for exact searches, inform on our built environment and reveal analogies between architectural projects.

Site pursues a collective, decidedly digital approach to architecture documentation – complementing and linking to books and magazines, blogs and studio websites.

Participants can document buildings with photography, geodata and background information

The collected information will get more granular to later allow for highly specific search queries

Site comes with a map to ease the planning of research trips or enrich a local afternoon stroll
