"Tianmei's World" Academy

Redefining where and how learning happens: a decentralized "network of classrooms" school concept
Through careful planning, the academy turns any available space into an alternative learning environment, being able to bring high quality educational opportunities closer to each individual beyond language and geographical barriers.

Type of project
  • Systemic changes

By implementing the idea at a large scale, the academy is able to collect in real-time more data about the use of the spaces in which learning happens, being able to feed that information back into the architecture profession, thus making more architects understand how to enhance their designs to better serve their users. For example, many architects are still not aware of the neurological and psychological implications that their designs have on the users of the spaces they design. Given this disconnection, architects rarely have the opportunity to get feedback on their designs directly from their final users. However, with the real-time information that the academy will be able to provide, it will give architects the opportunity for trial and error that they currently don't have.
