Architects VS Rest of the World
Architects VS Rest of the World
Since the beginning of the financial crisis our profession has changed. Horizontal projects, multi-disciplinary teams, unconventional clients, are just a few words to describe those changes. Architecture merges more and more with other disciplines and vice versa.
Arch VS Rest of the World is a participatory project investigates a new way to produce on-line content and to mix analogical and technological tools, all with the aim of anticipating future trends.
Arch VS Rest is divided in episodes: the 1st one - namely "The role of the architect" - invites 100 guests to answer the same question: “What is the role of the architect in contemporary society?”. Some are architects, some others are experts from other fields, such as sociologists, musicians, politicians, housewives, cooks.
Different answers to the same question will be the 1st step to create a new constellation of meanings, and build a new map to imagine scenarios for the future of architecture.
