three profiles
three profiles

- New alliances
The studio tries to follow the changing and in-stuck positions in the urban and rural environments with the idea of future visions. 3 Profiles aims to bring architect/outsider and local/insider together by creating hybrid characters with a designer look and local experiences. The insider, for example, might be a water drop, a seed or a cow apart from an ordinary villager in a rural project as in our Rural & Future studio. In our Future Visions studio, we concentrated on metropolises and their citizens; to get involved in the life, city, and architecture there via following their daily/life routines and mapping them with different layers, times, etc.
3 Profiles is an important tool for the approach involving situations/times from a distance and imagining new life scenarios, futures and then architectures, next to other tools such as preparing an atlas, writing a manifesto, drawing atmospheric images and archi-sine sections. This tool will be getting more crucial in the pandemic world.

De-stereotypicalized Cooperative by Alperen Temur; to investigate stereotypical-ization, several characters are created in three groups: locals, tourists and organizations. Then, to seek different ways of living, the profiles are assigned with a set of instruments of their own. This leads to capturing their daily rituals and possible everyday spaces.
[Rural & Future, Architectural Design Studio 7, ITU by Ayşe Şentürer and Yeşim Armağan, 2020 – …]

Rural Revolt by Nijat Mahamaliyev; each profile has its own route that can be a daily|weekly|monthly, related to their authority|interest or route|places which have a crucial role in their life. Through the route, they have a right to say/negotiate with each other. Each one has its brief description for developing empathy, negotiating and constructing an architectural program with common consent.
