Make your Place in the City
Make your Place in the City
Participatory transformation can help to build more fair city and to contribute to reorganization of social-economic relationship as well. This can be achieved by the notion that such kind of practice is aimed to change not only a physical space, transforming it from vacant to public, but also oriented to other goals (define new org. models, formats of in-kind support, solving a property problems). With Kremenchuk projects the main accomplishment was the emergence of resilient local community. Therefore, with these results, such transformations have a lot of sense in those countries that undergo transformations themselves. In case of Ukraine, bottom-up urban practices remains a rare option to make a comfortable city, inclusive for everybody. We also see this practice as a part of long-term city development strategy. Firstly through increasing of resilient local community and secondly through defining of new instruments, that widen the notion of common architectural practice.
