Conversation Journal
Conversation Journal
- New alliances
“Conversation Journal” is an ongoing, strategic, research-based project of performativity and urbanism, incorporating diverse disciplines as contributions into fields of studies. The title refers to the nature of duo collaboration between a landscape designer and an artistic researcher, as well as the methods applied with subjects. It is intended as a space for multilayered narratives, provided with emergence of examination and reflection for existing approaches. It can be seen as an expression of its sensitivity over the course of (re)discovery.
The duo starts their investigation with "Tuindorp Vreewijk," Rotterdam. Literally translated as “Garden Village Vreewijk,” it was established in 1916, as one of the oldest urban plans as such in the country. In the current stage, the project aims to respond to social and cultural assignments which depict the quality of neglected layers within this imploding epicization of globalization in a one-century old urban project village.
