She continued her studies at the Heriot Watt University (College of Art) earning a Masters of Philosophy in Landscape Architecture. Evgenia studied Civil Engineering at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and continued with two Masters of Science, “Environmental Design of Cities and Buildings” (H.O.U.) and “Law & Engineering for Energy ” (A.U.T.).

Revitalizing the urbanscape
The project refers to the design and construction of “The landmarks’ net”, in the Municipality of Neapoli – Sykies (Thessaloniki, Greece) and their connection to the existing green-space grid, parallel to the activation of an environmentally active human network.

Existing open spaces in Neapoli - Sykies appear inadequate for their users due to lack of basic key-elements, such as design concept, creativity in construction, infrastructure that lead to fragmented open spaces, which are inconsistent to the wider urban context and to the adjacent natural environment. In addition, there is a serious degradation of basic social principles concerning the respect of public realm.
The aim of the proposal is the formation of a multidimensional network of outdoor enjoyable and creativity places which secure a high level of life quality, improve accessibility and safety within the city, protect nature and manage, in an alternative way, the urban scheme, thus highlighting the hidden dynamic of free space, in general. Furthermore, the creation of an appealing destination, an attraction for relaxation, refreshes the local economy, while at the same time contributing to the social upgrade. descenders.
