Epiphyte - Bench/Bridge
Epiphyte - Bench/Bridge
- Site-specific cases
Intuitive as the adaptations of living beings to the environment. This project is based on observations made in the tropical flora, specifically in the Epiphytes, organisms whose cycle of existence is based on the top of another body and, unlike imagined, these plants do not feed on their hosts. Its potential is in reinforce, protect and enhance vitality.
Metaphor that seemed fair to the urban space versed in this proposal. We do not speak here of a idyllic ideal of sustainability. Rather, it is about sustaining the very idea of space conformation through the appropriation of gestures and natural mimetisms as tools of deliberative actions, capable of generating technical ballast for future adjustments of the built environment. Second nature that so many times is built up without an accurate projection. Inaccuracy that this project seeks to point out by bringing as a possibility the repair of structures presents in the cities, but which do not always fulfill their vital role.
