We are a group of international young architects that after gaining experience in our own countries in architecture attended the Master of Advanced Studies in Urban Design at ETH Zurich. After our graduation and our successful collaboration in different design projects, we decided to keep our forces together, although we are spread around Europe. Along with our professional practice, we are involved in research projects, theoretic writing as well as actions with no-profit organizations.

Days of Future Past

Squatting, hacking, highjacking; architecture as a palimpsest

Days of Future Past

Squatting, hacking, highjacking; architecture as a palimpsest
We advocate for the democracy of spaces, for the anarchy of occupation, the freedom of invention
File under

A prolonged state of economic and  social crisis, has demolished our hierarchy of values.

In the urban environment citizens appropriate diverse spaces and instil them with unprecedented desires, seeking for a spatial manifestation of their needs.

Urban upheaval across the globe, from Athens to Manhattan, Hong Kong to Istanbul, demonstrates an urgent need for spaces of confrontation and identity.

Ruins and junkspaces alike, monuments and road junctions, all constitute the built inheritance at the base of a new grammar for architecture.

We want to support this attitude, to meet bottom-up transformation.

We dissect archaeologically existing places to provide an infrastructure for the citizens to reinvent their own urban experience.

We believe in architecture as a palimpsest, as a lean state of mind of writing on the existing.

We use squatting, hacking and highjacking.

We advocate for the democracy of spaces, for the anarchy of occupation, the freedom of invention
