PUBLIC SPACE IN PANDEMIC ITS COMMUNITY DYNAMICS

Public space as a place of community coexistence and cultural and economic development in the midst of a pandemic

Type of project
  • Site-specific cases

The pandemic poses a range of problems in terms of health, social and urban development to be responded urgently. Nevertheless, the economic situation will make difficult improvements and interventions of existing public spaces

The problem besides being understood as a spatial modification to avoid contagion must be considered as a community construction, where the changes are to integrate the society in ways not previously thought, in which hospitality is the entire order of community actions. The open spaces of the house should be understood as an extension that does not limit the public space such as terraces, patios, orchards. These will be inhabited in the community, likewise social life can be developed by enabling private places and not congesting the public space, while continuing to use it in a smarter way In addition, rethinking the street functioning, a new and more collective discernment is given a space where community, commercial and virus control processes take place

this project looks for the synthesis in a single image, evocation of an incisive image. Brevity is lightness, an internal pulsation that contracts into a unity of intuition.
