A platform is a generic ‘ecosystem' able to link anything and anyone, from private individuals to multinational corporations. The use of new technologies allows us to easily bring together leading scholars, researchers, policymakers, practitioners and social innovators and to develop a global debate.
“Hybrid spaces arise when virtual communities (chats, multiuser domains, and massively multi-player online role-playing games), previously enacted in what was conceptualized as cyberspace, migrate to physical spaces because of the use of mobile technologies as interfaces.”

Platform Urbanism research investigates new relations between urban spaces and new technologies. How do urban spaces are reconfigured when they interact with p2p platforms?

The research investigates not only the spaces' physical configuration but also new modalities of co-creation and commoning.
