Resting interventions

sleep performances and architecture
My project works variously with the subtle perceptual stimuli that are triggered by the focused observation of the lying, sleeping body in public space and architecture.

In playing with the melancholy-suggesting isolation of the reclining body, which in its isolation remains fixed as the constant point of departure and reference, I act as a guide into more profound illusory spaces in the architectural experimental field (p.ex. Seestadt Vienna), which, due to their surreal-utopian nature, enable the dissolution the split between fiction and reality.
The field of activity of the enigmatically absurd dream worlds that I create in the medium of intervening photography extends further into the future horizon that allows speculations about future societal forms and housing conditions in the face of extreme economic imbalances of excessive capital accumulation in the real estate sector, threatening and hardly avoidable ecological catastrophes, and last but not least a globally raging pandemic that circulates continents. photos: Christian Prinz
