Reformulate a Giant
Reformulate a Giant
- Systemic changes
The city has become the key scenario in the market-driven globalization process. Consequently, having a position in relation to the confrontation between public and private space is indispensable for understanding the role of architecture in the cities of the future.
Re-thinking the transformation of obsolete mega constructions that neoliberalism has left as a vestige before the awakening of citizenship, without necessarily altering their main program, as it is in this project the housing, allows us to give a strike and transform the self-interest of the neoliberalism in its maximum contradiction, and thus to return to the habitants the right to the city, common spaces and to recover the public sphere.
The power of architectural design will be the icon of the transformation to proposals that operate from the common, inviting new forms of living, capable of correcting communities, cities and even territories that have been divided by private interests.
