Type of project
  • Systemic changes

Was the Greek philosopher, Heraclitus who said, “Change is the only constant”.
If we think about our cities this happens too, city’s infrastructures are an example of the constant change. We can see how streets change and adapt. As part of this constant change, the use of the automobile in many cities is changing and being restricted by local policies, whit this leaving a huge footprint, like highways, roads, and parkings. In some areas of the cities, the parking can be empty for hours, Will the automobiles disappear? if yes what will happen with all those parking spaces? will become obsolete? re adapting the parking spaces according to the social reality of the moment, through temporary activities reinforcing a collective identity or generating a new identity in specific points of the cities. We have to think about the potential and possibilities of reusing the parkings spaces, how these “small” spaces can work together and reshape a new perspective of city life.
