Productive dynamic Landscape

Productive landscape on the outskirts with a dynamic character, becomes a resilient granary of the self-sufficient city.

The outskirts of the city, place of capitalism driven urban sprawl, is calling for a change. In the world to come we want to prevent the urban sprawl with the help of our heritage. Our goal is to redefine and diversify the existing landscape by emphasizing what is already there and showing all the multiple ways we can improve the life in the city. Main focus in making landscape productive and at the same time integrating people in the development of the landscape, by making a new, always changing, landscape pattern. The mixed use and the structure of the land allows us to respond to the challenges of the future by making a resilient place that would not be damaged by the changes in the future, but it would only reply to it with a changed purpose. Productive place with a dynamic character is working as a resilient machinery with a strong immunity to change. In contrast single use, passive landscapes are resource consumptive, but contemporary productive landscape can generate resources.

Productive dynamic landscape is the future. Moving away from cost ineffective economies we are envisioning diverse landscape based on the local character. Empowering local communities with addressing the heritage of the past and stopping the present urban sprawl we present the future of self sufficient cities. The outskirt should yet again become the breadbasket of the city.

Productive landscape is breaking the barriers and furthermore emphasizing the existing potentials in the space. From problems of the urban sprawl and ineffective outskirts we want to create a landscape that will integrate the local people, therefore increase interest agriculture and bring social welfare to the society.

Productive landscape is based on the mixture of uses, where they all support each other to create a harmonious space. We want to move away from the separation of the landscape and envision a combination of all uses not only in the city, but also on the outskirts, where zoning is very present at the moment. That reduces distances and makes a stronger character of the space. The cut of transport costs between research, production, processing and retail helps to build a better local economy.

Productive landscape when implemented on the existing space.

Productive dynamic landscape is resilient. Easy adaptable to change, it replies to the dangers of the future. Possible future scenarios do not degrade the landscape, but change it in a way it is possible. For example, in the time of economic crisis, productive landscape starts working more with nature and focus on local agriculture production.
