We believe that future architecture starts from what is the closest to us, the street and the neighborhood where we live, involving citizens for the design of public spaces. This is why we asked our neighbors their opinions about the places where they live in order to collect their ideas and observations in a map. Starting from these considerations, together with a group of students of architecture, we imagined via del Ghirlandaio in Florence (where our studio is located) trying to include new public scenarios, common activities and places where it would be possible spending time together. A participated project where we wanted to create suggestions that can in some way give a different view of the neighborhood and become an incentive for both those who run our cities and who actually lives there. A road-laboratory that can be a methodological and sociological experiment to operate actively and consciously in future projects.
