How could media tools support the manifests of highbrow culture? Within this paper, I investigated the ways AR technology may enrich the experiences generated by the use of cultural space.
Contemporary digital technology plays an important role in all our activities, being mainly used as a generator of Virtual Reality.But the present interaction is carried out by means of interfaces, leading to the isolation of people in relation to the real world.On cultural activities, VR promotes cultural products based on speed and accessibility, where the public has a passive role.
Relying precisely on the importance of interaction and active involvement of the public with the building, this study examines what mediatecture and AR tools could offer as solutions for reconciliation between highbrow culture and digital technology. The aim is to create a strong bond between the community and the building -using the latest technology- and to provoke a dialogue with the inner world of the individual.
