Electrotexture was funded in 2007 in Denmark. We lead a research in complex structures and their interplay with sensor based technologies. We investigate theoretical, conceptual and practical tools; such as responsive adaptive art, architectural lighting, and the process of realising non-standard architectural forms. All projects are realised together with a network of artists, musicians, programmers and architects.

PERCEPTUAL ECOLOGIES

Body in motion as a means to interact with responsive public environments.

PERCEPTUAL ECOLOGIES

Body in motion as a means to interact with responsive public environments.
Future architecture is sensitive to environmental stimuli and adaptive to life in motion.
File under

Novel response strategies for a functional, aesthetic and social adaptation will lead to a better performing architecture. The quality of architecture and design objects, at all scales, will improve if they’re are sensitive to environmental stimuli and capable of responding to their surrounding context in a sensitive and designed way. Focusing on the utilization and development of new technologies as well as on applying computer based design tools will lead to a high level of control and flexibility in both the design, fabrication and construction phase.
