The project examines the African-Israeli relations and responds to the neo-colonialism trend it expands over the “Black continent,” by establishing a railway infrastructure designed to leverage relations in a bi-directional and egalitarian manner.

With the dissolution of the colonial rule, the African countries gained independence, as did the State of Israel. This historical narrative created a common socialistic ideological denominator.
Since then the African countries have undergone many upheavals and the mutual acquaintance has been replaced by hostility. The diplomatic ties had renewed during the ’90s in terms of capitalism interests.
The project examines those relations and responds to the neo-colonialism trend, by establishing a railway infrastructure designed to leverage the relations in a bi-directional and egalitarian manner.
The project presents feasibility for two stations: Juba-South-Sudan, and the Beer-Sheva, Israel
The station planning is based on a generic structure integrated into a specific territory from which the local values are derived, considering local needs, cultural traditions, construction methods, and materials.



The train has a bi-directional and egalitarian approach between Israel, Egypt, North Sudan, South Sudan, Ethiopia and Uganda. The train is based on existing economic status that is currently being established between Israel and the neighboring African countries. This infrastructure platform intended to interweave Israel (which today turns westward only) as a link within the rich, colorful and dynamic fabric of Africa.

The station in Be'er Sheva serves the environmental needs in which it is located - it creates connections between different fabrics in its surroundings, including a hi-tech industrial park, university, hospital campus and residential neighborhoods. The station is also a main traffic artery on the way to the border (the southern gate) of Israel toward Sinai, Egypt. It should be noted that this connection was already made in the era of the Ottoman rule in Palestine, and was implemented during the

Juba, who witnessed to bloody civil wars and many vicissitudes on the basis of an exchange of power and gaining independence in front of North Sudan.
