Smart City in Detroit

A building complex that mixes agricultural, residential, industrial and commercial programs
The future of architecture is about reclaiming old businesses that were lost in globalization and creating new local establishment to allow for sustainable growth.
File under

Many city like Detroit fails and bankrupts due to the fact that it has a single source of income. When automobile industries lost their prime time, Detroit lost its competitiveness and its entire quality of life. It is the problem of big cities outsourcing specific jobs to other cities or countries during the process of globalization.
Smart City is a Detroit’s mixed use project that combines agricultural, industrial, residential and commercial spaces. Small businesses are doing new innovation to revive bankrupted Detroit. Among these entrepreneurs, we can find farmers, tech start-ups, artists, chief and developers. The aim is to collect these small local businesses and revive the brand of Detroit with one iconic architecture. The landmark building will not only define the skyline of Detroit, it will also become a milestone of how future mixed use building should be planned.
