The End of Architecture
The End of Architecture
The Italian architect Vittorio Gregotti once wrote that he hoped future architects would not become culturally redundant as has happened with medieval gunsmiths. "The End of Architecture" wishes to be a sort of eschatological forum for architecture where people are encouraged to think about the various ways our practice might disappear: drowned in the rising ocean tides of global warming or the excess productivity of consumer culture, trapped in the repetition of digitally propagated forms, eaten by the algorithms we created. "The End of Architecture" is the counter-culture to all the rosy prophecies that take architecture's existence for granted.
