Momentum is a magazine about architecture and urbanism that discuss topics through visual imaginaries.

We live in a global world where, due to hyper connectivity, information is stored without any filter in the global network. But, is there any possibility of going beyond the concept of image as simple visual information? What is the difference between an image, a memory and a postcard? What can we represent through a graphic document? MOMENTUM is a magazine that arises as a response to a certain environment, where images potential is reduced to a quick and ethereal use that represents basic information. Conceived as a reaction to the insane amount of inputs and images to which we are exposed on the Internet, it proposes to open a new conversation and to go back to carefully selected personal references that will allow to represent a point of view on a certain topic, finding out new ways of thinking.

The magazine proposes to discuss a certain topic through a visual journey that consists of 16 graphic references carefully selected by the collaborators. Cover page (MIT Chapel, Eero Saarinen).

Those 16 views are materialised in the form of 16 postcards, configuring a visual imaginary or collection of pieces. 2nd Issue. Self, Shell, Shelter.

Each card represents one point of view on the proposed topic. An image is chosen by the collaborator and it is complemented by a short text that can be found on the underside. Intermediate Spaces - Virginia de Jorge-Huertas

The following volunteers have already collaborated with the project, that already has three issues: Santiago de Molina, Fernando Quesada, Josep Lluís Mateo, José Juan Barba, Antonio Giráldez López, Clara Murado, David Arredondo, José Luis Uribe, Francisco García Triviño, Susana Rosmaninho, Eduardo Arroyo, Rebecca Carrai, Martino Tattara, Lluís Alexandre Casanovas Blanco, Adrian Phiffer, Atxu Amann, Kapka Kassabova or n’UNDO, between many others.
