In a world condition poised between neo-liberalism and the health crisis, we try to focus on the question of heritage as an element that needs to be transformed, repaired, overwritten.

The ancient spas of Bratislava, abandoned for years, represent a substantial building sector of the city that finds new light thanks to a policy that makes promiscuity its own character. Promiscuity of functions (city bath, restaurant, library, events, residency), of building stratifications, of transparency, of privacy.

The proposal echoes the suggestion of Konštantín Bauer’s 1927 painting which sees green lungs emerging within the urban fabric.
Added to this is the idea of making spaces interact through different focus, capable of suggesting users by recovering the ethereal sensation of spas and the suspended atmosphere of a place of meditation.

Opalescencia is a manifesto that want to comunicate this relationship, recalling the vapors of the baths and the suspended perception of space.
