On the Rocks
A project including a pavilion and program related to bio-diversity and future studies.

Type of project
  • Systemic changes

For a new large art-project in Esslingen, Germany, next year I will build a semi-transparent and demountable pavilion.
With this project, I will continue the path which I have started with my project The Exchange (2016), where I introduced a new currency, making a connection to ecology and the financial system.
The overall shape of the pavilion brings up some associations to an iceberg, contemporary architecture and of course my own artistic language. For this project, I will initiate a program related to bio-diversity and "future studies". Also, the currency will be included in the project.
The work will also include a hanging art installation inside and a small bar where my currency will be used.
The pavilion can travel and the program can be expanded and developed over time. Therefore partners who can host the project after the summer of 2019 are most welcome.
