The idea of the project - to build a free territory of creativity that will become a common place for young artists and citizens. Visitors are not passive spectators, but active participants and collaborators.
Goals of the project:
• to bring positive changes in the urban environment of our city Dnipro (and similar industrial cities)
• to put in practice a transformation approach to the perception and use of urban spaces in industrial cities
• introduce a new culture of temporary informal use of city spaces at post industrial cities
• redefine undefined spaces (with we have a lot in our country): create a space for collaboration of young architects, artists, musicians, dancers, actors
• to involve citizens in the creation of a new urban spaces.
The project combines two spaces - the lower and upper.
Lower platform - Amphitheater.
Free space with the stage, screen and mobile spectator hall
on the open air - a platform for interaction and performances.
Platform of Amphitheater will be used as a stage for performances of young artists, a place for concerts and exhibitions.
Upper platform - “The roofless roof”.
Free space for meetings, collaboration and recreation. The roof
without a roof is a place which is separated from the busy street
of the city by a few steps and which gives the opportunity to see
the historical part of the city from a new and completely
unexpected point.
The main architectural and design elements of the construction
of the project will be made of the ecological and secondary
recycled materials.
Space of the roof does not have a static structure that allows to
transform structure in different ways. On the roof you can drink
coffee, relax with a book, spend an evening with friends and
even watch the stars in the night sky.
