It marks a direction and a measure.
It's memory, movement, costruction of a path.
The project approach is due to an extension of the genius loci horizons: the environment understood as a promiscuity among cities, landscape, culture and social dynamics. This inclusive principle generates design invention from the choice of what the site has most precious (a building, a tree, a story) distilling from what it is not.
The project is still the main tool for changing architecture. The architect as a craftsman of meaning.
Below are five projects that attempt to leave footprints.
INTERVALLO_range | footprint like MEASURE
Competition for the extension of Boltiere primary school.
The measure is a sum of vertical elements , in this case the trees in a forest, that draw a permeable front.
The new volume scans the space through structural frames composed by laminated timber.
This rhythm with dark curtain wall , is integrated with the colors of vegetation, as the light tree trunk and the dark shadows of the crowns.

competition for a new kindergarden in Savogna d’Isonzo (italy).
A closed enclosure is designed to protect the stereometric volume.
Relations with the built-up transform into a recognizable but traditional architecture in its forms of universal value such as the superimposition of a pitched roof on a base. The movement imposed by the roof gives the school a familiar and recognizable appearance.

competition for trasformation of officine lupo in a public space and cultural centre (Catania,Italy).
The sign is the archs. Familiar landscape elements are recalled in the design: the marinas arches, sailboats, the air.
The soft air of Catania is the main material with which regenerates the obsolete architecture.
Inside it reveals the secret game of lights and shadows, the lightness of the tissues and the weight of the bends.

competition for reuse of an ex-cinema in pieve a nievole, tuscany.
The dialogue as a project idea, which remember the image of two actors on the stage , looking for a reuse of the cinema.
Two type of stairs like two actors who talk to each other.
the program requires administrative offices and public spaces.
The interior space are clear both in plan and in section. the presence of large windows allows the connection of the square with the auditorium.

restyling of Piazza delle Erbe in Chiari (Italy).
The fountain and the quadriportico are the memory that overwrite the design of the ground.
The project makes use of the recycling of 75% of existing materials pursuing the idea of a smart city capable of optimizing and exploiting available resources. A NZEP (Near Zero Energy Piazza) that, starting from the available notes, recomposes a CARILLON, repaired and rearranged to play new harmonies.
