Death of Facades
Death of Facades
- Systemic changes
In future, “Architecture” will be out of control of architects and get away from personal tastes. Architecture will become a smart system and take control of designing. Architecture will be architect itself; buildings will build themselves and city will design itself. Masses and spaces of cities will grow intelligently based on existing forces and parameters in context.
Facades in future cities will convert to a medium, which can add new capabilities to the interior and urban environment and make them more powerful. this medium space will not be buildings property anymore, but will grow along the city in different directions and will expand the urban public spaces. Today Facades just display various materials and signs, even though they could develop and promote public spaces and urban life by turning dead surfaces into abundant positive living spaces. These spaces can also be placed at the disposal of buildings and establish a stronger connection between buildings and city.
