KERATSINI, Greece
It all started in the suburbs of Athens, at Keratsini fish market aka psaroskala in 2018. With the help of our portable wooden platform we organized a one-day event in collaboration with other artists to showcase collections of art, design, education related zines and other queer and independent publications. Since then we continue to exhibit in socially and economic specific locations in the wide area of Athens.

In the future, architecture and space will be liberated from the constrains and limitations of architects.
In our contemporary society architects and their architecture functions as an agent of those in power which leaves the majority without agency to influence their build environment.

The future model of architecture will be based on the favella or shantytowns.
An urban space devoid of ownership but created to the needs and desires of its occupants.
It is a network of structures built by the powerless.
But in the future the powerless become the powerfull.

Imagine a future without nation states or centralized seats of government.
A future where commodities are produced instantly on location.
A constant recycling of materials to the desire and needs of the locality.
This can be food, a house or a small helicopter.

Psaroskala starts on the premises to occupy public space and make visible the needs and desires of its occupants.
